Investing in Women: Women in Inclusive Sustainable Economic Recovery (IW) is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to accelerate women’s economic empowerment through increased and equitable opportunities in the private sector, contributing to inclusive, sustainable economic recovery and growth in targeted countries. Our objective is to support women to thrive in the workplace and succeed in business.
Through this RFP, IW seeks a Contractor to conduct and deliver a Market Research Study on Workplace Gender Equality (WGE) tools and services in Vietnam.

RFQ: PIE-2024-029 Coordination and logistics for Mathematic Pedagogy Training
Overview
The Government of Australia (GoA) in partnership with the Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG) are delivering the new education initiative, Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE), managed by Abt Associates. The PIE program is an eight (8) year investment in teaching and learning and is designed to improve access, equity, and student learning outcomes in the early grades through a capacity development, systems strengthening approach in Papua New Guinea.
Scope of Services
The scope of services include:
- Logistics and coordination for District and/or Cluster level delivery of the mathematics in-service course;
- Distribution of associated classroom resources and training materials; and
- Monitoring
The terms of reference for the in-service teacher training the Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE) program will support in 2024 throughout Central Province, Sandaun Province, and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. The in-service teacher training for mathematics is part of the PIE theory of change and a key activity under two end of investment outcome areas.
- End of Investment Outcome 2: Targeted divisions and/or departments of education in subnational geographies are using sustainable and replicable approaches to support improvements in the quality of teaching and learning in the early grades.

Overview
The Australia-PNG Economic Partnership (APEP) is assisting the Government of Papua New Guinea to create a stable and more prosperous country. APEP is the main coordination point through which Australia delivers its economic development aid to PNG and the Australian Government is committed to delivering APEP in accordance with the principles of integration and alignment with PNG’s economic sector policies, systems, and processes.
APEP has five End of Program Outcomes (EOPOs) that are expected to be achieved:

The Efficient and Inclusive Markets pillar seeks to address common bottlenecks within the business environment, while focusing on inclusive growth and increasing economic opportunities for women, marginalised groups, and rural populations. Technical support is driven by the priorities of implementing partners, most notably the Government of PNG, and aligned with the Australian Government bilateral and regional programming.
Scope of Services
APEP has confirmed the need for support to expand the financial products available to Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and to build organisational capacity among Financial Institutions (FIs) to identify, appraise and manage risk. APEP is seeking proposals from prospective firms for a scoping and assessment exercise to articulate the needs and interest of FIs to participate in an activity aimed at diversifying their lending portfolios in priority locations.
Proposals must acknowledge and consider informal lending practices, specifically their potential significance, cultural relevance and impact on the proposed activity and within different regions and communities of PNG.

Technical support is driven by the priorities of implementing partners, most notably the Government of PNG, and aligned with the Australian Government bilateral and regional programming.
Scope of Services
The successful tenderer will offer prior experience of conducting sectoral curriculum reviews, training methodology/implementation reviews, and organisational capacity assessments in similar working environments.
APEP will issue a subcontract to the successful tenderer for the review of existing MSME training provision in Papua New Guinea by working directly with the identified training delivery partners and M/SMEs to establish the needs of both the organisations and the market.

Overview

The PIE Program is seeking proposals from service providers to support the ICT Division and various divisions and departments of the Ministry of Education based in Papua New Guinea including but not limited to the National Department of Education (NDoE), Teaching Service Commission (TSC), Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST), Provincial Divisions of Education (PDoEs), Bougainville Department of Education (BDoE). The service provider will support the ICT Division in scoping technical requirements to integrate and/or replace the existing systems intended to support various units of the Ministry as outlined above.

Abt is seeking to partner with a competent TMC that has experience providing similar services to organisations comparable to Abt (international development/aid/NGO etc.) and extensive global experience and reach in full ticketing and reservation services for all commercial modes of domestic and international travel, via an online booking tool and full service agent services.
